  • Adi Kellermann
    PICES was saddened to hear of the recent passing of Adi Kellermann, a frequent visitor to past PICES events as the former head of the ICES Science Programme. Adi was instrumental in developing the close collaboration between ICES and PICES, a legacy we are committed to continuing. He and PICES Deputy Executive Secretary Skip McKinnell worked together to initiate the joint ICES/PICES Early Career Scientist Conference series. “In hindsight, I found that there were people in our business that you worked with because you had to and people you worked with because you wanted to. Adi fell among the latter” S. McKinnell. More details about Adi’s significant contributions to international marine science can be found on the ICES web page here. We extend our condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.
